Funding Opportunities
Sport Godalming has a strong network of connections both locally and in Surrey and can open doors to assist clubs and also provide leads for the funding of projects as well as offering funding to local individuals to assist them in their sporting aspirations.
The current funding options from Sport Godalming and links from Waverley are:
GO FOR GOLD CHAMPIONS FUND
Go for Gold was set-up originally to support those with 2012 London Olympics potential and since then numerous awards have been presented to our local stars to help them achieve their goals – be it Olympic, Commonwealth, International, National and County – Sport Godalming are continuing this programme and doing the same for those aiming for Paris in 2024 and other competitions. Young aspiring sports people desperately need funding whilst they are climbing the ladder to the top and that is the role of Go for Gold to help our local athletes reach for the sky.

Go for Gold offers young sports people vital assistance with the costs of becoming a champion or to start on the sporting trail as well as providing much needed official recognition of an individual’s endeavours.
SPORT GODALMING GRANTS
Leisure and sport can be expensive and to assist individuals, mainly younger persons, we make small grants – for example for training costs (including travelling), competition costs and specialist clothing.
